Memory chip demand will remain firm until early next year

According to a report by Korean media etnews, SK Hynix CEO Kuo Lu-jung recently said that the memory chip market will remain optimistic for some time due to the strong 

demand for high-performance memory chips, such as HBM, and expects the memory chip market to remain active until early next year.

SK Hynix believes that the demand for memory will continue to grow next year as the artificial intelligence market expands, and has formulated a strategy to deal with it proactively.

SK Hynix will focus on maintaining its competitive edge in HBMs.SK Hynix plans to supply samples of its 12-layer HBM3E to its major customers and start mass production in the 

current quarter, and will roll out its 12-layer HBM4, which was developed in cooperation with TSMC, in the second half of next year.

Whether the upturn in the memory chip market will continue into next year and beyond "remains to be seen," Kuo said.
